The rectangular tops with brass gallery backs, above slim friezes with a pair of glazed doors below enclosing adjustable shelves, flanked by turned fluted columns, standing on inverted breakfront plinth with toupie feet.

Antique French Mahogany & Ormolu Torchere

A fine late 19th century, French, mahogany and ormolu mounted torchère of Neoclassical inspiration. The circular Brèche Sanguine marble top above three supports headed by rams masks, the frieze decorated with garrya swags, with a circular under-tier and standing on a triform plinth base weighted with lead.

Antique French Ormolu & Shagreen Encrier Inkwell

A charming early 19th century French ormolu encrier. The figure of Chronus, his arm resting on an hourglass & holding a scythe, is seated in the stern of a gilded boat propelled by Eros, standing on the prow. The shagreen base, depicting the sea, lifting off to reveal a bronze interior with sand sifter, pair of glass inkwells (replaced) and a pen tray. Retaining the original gilding and bronze patination.

A fine pair of French, Charles X, patinated bronze & ormolu candlesticks. The ormolu drip pans above a tapering reeded column standing on a finely cast and chased circular plinth decorated with swirling acanthus leaves and small flowers. Lovely original mercury gilding and dark green/brown patination.

An impressive pair of late 19th century, French, bronze groups of cavorting cherubs. Each group consisting of three putti, one group bickering over blowing a conch shell, the other over fruit, standing on circular naturalistic bases with a stepped round plinth base of Sienna marble.

A pair of 19th century French ‘Grand Tour’ bronze busts of Bacchus & Apollo, standing on ormolu fluted columns with square plinth bases and winged paw feet. Finely cast & chased with original brown/green patination, the feet with parcel gilding. The ormolu regilded. Feet with ‘FL’ cast from the master mould.

The arched rectangular mirror with original plate, flanked by pillar supports with ormolu capitals and adjustable twin candle arms. The base with a rectangular top above single frieze drawer, standing on tapering column supports with turned feet and concealed castors. The finely cast mounts regilded. Some discolouration to lower left of mirror plate.

Antique French Boulle Mantel Clock

A late 19th century, French, cut brass inlaid red tortoiseshell mantel clock in the Louis XIV style, of small size. The tortoiseshell and cut brass inlaid case surmounted by a fruit filled vase, the gilt dial with enamel Roman numeral tablets, with the eight day movement, numbered 3095, rack striking the hour & half hour on a gong. The whole dressed with re-gilded bronze mounts.
