A delightful pair of early 19th century, French Empire period, ormolu candlesticks. The single acanthus cast sconce with original drip pans, supported by classically dressed female figures, one arm raised as if to balance the sconce on their heads, standing on a circular plinth base cast with alternate vine leaf & grape bunch. Regilded.
