A pair of late 19th century Continental Bronze figures of Roman Soldiers. Each well cast in battle action, one hand with swords raised in combat, the other holding a shield. Both standing on a turned sienna marble plinth. Original dark green/brown patination.

Gillows of Lancaster.
A George IV, ‘Gillows’, pollard oak davenport. The rectangular slope with replaced leather writing surface, and three quarter turned spindle gallery, opening to reveal a pair of real drawers over two dummy drawers enclosing pen & ink drawer opening to the side. The right hand side with three graduated mahogany lined drawers, below twin folio slides, with dummy en verso, the front and back centred by panels, standing on turned and reeded bun feet with concealed castors. Retaining the original Brahmah locks and turned ebony handles to the drawers. Stamped four times to the underside ‘Gillows’.

The figure of the 14th century scholar standing with the Bible tucked under his arm, his left hand holding a lantern, a sword hanging from his waist and standing on a circular naturalistic base with title plaque to front. The 13th Century Archer standing arming his bow, a fletcher of arrows to his back, standing on a naturalistic circular base with title plaque to front.

The pinatum finial above a domed lid reversing to reveal a single sconce, above an ovoid body with three rams head mask and floral swags, supported by a turned marble socle with beaded border. A small Edwardian mahogany work table. The rectangular top with canted corners, inlaid with central shaped flame panel and kingwood cross banding, above two slim drawers with original brass pulls. Standing on square section tapering legs ending in splay feet, united by a shaped platform stretcher.

An early 19th century, French, gilt bronze and marble mantel clock. The carrera marble body containing a circular enamel dial with roman numerals, a figure of Fidelity stands to one side with cupid floating on clouds to the other, his bow and arrows at his feet, between them sits a spaniel. The dial hung with a swag of roses, above a platform base with entwined leafy panels and toupie feet. Retaining the original mercurial gilding. The eight day movement with silk suspension striking the hour and half hour, via an outside count wheel, on a bell.

A mid 19th century walnut day bed. The reupholstered button back and sprung seat, with carved walnut frame and turned legs ending in brass caps and castors.

A fine Louis XVI style, blue du roi and gilt bronze lyre clock. The porcelain body in the form of a lyre, with starburst surmount above an enamel dial painted with floral swags and moving bezel of paste brilliants. The sides mounted with acanthus leaves above an oval stepped base with gilt swags and beading. The eight day movement striking the hour & half hour on a bell.
A satinwood, George III, card table. The well figured ‘D’ shaped top, with wide rosewood cross-banding and reeded edge, opening to reveal a baize lined interior, above a frieze supported by four turned and reeded legs, headed by rectangular rosewood inlaid panels. The back legs with gate-leg action to support the top.

The circular enamel dial with eight day Vincenti movement and Brocot suspension, striking the hour & half hour on a bell, numbered 1039. The Louis XVI style case with urn surmount, scroll acanthus cast sides, supported by a shaped marble plinth with toupie feet. The twin branch candelabra with pinatum finials above acanthus scroll supports with shaped marble plinths and toupie feet. Original gilding.
A Napoleon III, French, rosewood, mahogany and marquetry inlaid work table, with gilt bronze mounts. The floral inlaid top with serpentine shaped sides, above a single oak lined drawer, each side inlaid with floral scrolls, standing on four slender cabriole legs ending in sabots.
