Antique French Empire Revival Mahogany Ormolu Mounted Console Table

ANDRAU & BLANC TOULOUSE
A fine French Empire revival mahogany, ormolu mounted marble topped console table from the last quarter of the 19th century. Of rectangular form, veneered in quilted mahogany (Amarillo), the slim frieze above tapering columns to the front topped with ormolu caryatids, a bevelled mirror plate to the rear panel, with a platform base standing on hairy paw feet. The original thick marble top with a moulded edge. The reverse stencilled ‘ATELIERS ANDRAU & BLANC TOULOUSE’ 3454.

Antique French Ormolu Mounted Gueridon

A late 19th century, French, mahogany & ormolu mounted gueridon in the manner of Henry Dasson. The circular top with radiating veneers encircled by a gilt bronze rim, the panelled sides with scrolling ormolu acanthus friezes supported by four turned fluted columns headed by ribbon tied floral swags. The base with deep lattice sides, a device used by Dasson, standing on turned legs with toupie feet.

Antique 19th Century Walnut Side Table

A mid 19th century walnut side table of unusual form. The lift out circular top radially veneered in flame walnut, above a carved rim, supported by a triform base of moulded scroll supports finely carved with acanthus leaves and scrolls, united by a circular dish platform, standing on turned carved bun feet with concealed castors.

Antique Late Victorian Mahogany & Marquetry Circular Centre Table

Attributed to Edwards & Roberts

A late 19th century, Victorian, mahogany & marquetry inlaid centre table. The circular top inlaid with a central roundel finely engraved with pen & ink decoration, with scalloped radiating flame mahogany panels and wide satinwood & kingwood bandings. The narrow frieze standing on four square section tapering legs ending in spade feet and original brass castors. The legs united by a wavy stretcher with central boss.

French Marble, Walnut & Gilt Metal Mounted Table

A late 19th century, French, walnut, kingwood crossbanded and gilt bronze mounted table ambulante. The oval grey marble top above a scrolling frieze of gilt bronze flowers, with a single oak lined drawer below enclosing the original silk lining to base, supported by four slender cabriole legs united by curved stretchers with finial.

George III Satinwood Card Table

A satinwood, George III, card table. The well figured ‘D’ shaped top, with wide rosewood cross-banding and reeded edge, opening to reveal a baize lined interior, above a frieze supported by four turned and reeded legs, headed by rectangular rosewood inlaid panels. The back legs with gate-leg action to support the top.
