A pair of Napoleon III gilt bronze and carrera marble cassolettes. The marble tops with acorn finials inverting to a candle sconce, above an ovoid body hung with floral swags and rams head masks, standing on circular plinths with beaded decoration. Retaining the original gilding.

A pair of Napoleon III white marble and gilt metal mounted cassolettes. The reversible tops with pinatum finials and gilt sconce to the inside, above an ovoid body with tripod supports headed by rams masks and hung with floral swags, standing on stepped circular bases with toupie feet. Retaining the original gilding. Stamped JT to each underside.

Antique French Red Boulle Clock

A late 19th century, French, red tortoiseshell and brass inlaid boulle clock in the Louis XV style. Of waisted form, the engraved brass inlaid body mounted with gilt bronze. The eight day Japy Freres movement with Brocot suspension striking the hour and half hour on a gong via a rack strike. The gilt dial with enamel tablet roman numerals, the XII dated to the reverse 1895. The movement & pendulum numbered 1036.

A Napoleon III green tortoiseshell, cut brass and ormolu mounted, Boulle, mantel clock. The shaped oak carcase decorated to front and sides with scrolling brass marquetry, standing on a stepped plinth base with acanthus scroll feet, the sides with pierced panels backed in red silk. The eight day Vincenti movement numbered 912, with Brocot suspension and outside countwheel striking the hour & half hour on a bell.

A late 19th century, French, scarlet red tortoiseshell and brass inlaid mantel clock with rococo gilt bronze mounts. The shaped case with straight sides, mounted with pierced metal & material lined panels, surmounted by a flame finial with a glazed front panel and visible starburst pendulum. The circular enamel dial with blue roman numerals and pierced brass hands, with an eight day Japy Freres movement and Brocot suspension, rack striking the hour and half hour on a bell. Mounts regilded. Movement numbered 8145.

A late 19th century, French, brass inlaid scarlet red tortoiseshell and ormolu mounted mantel clock. The finial modelled as a basket of fruit above a waisted shaped case inset with glazed panel and visible starburst pendulum, the sides and front inlaid  with engraved scrolling brass and mounted with rococo gilt bronze. The circular twelve piece enamel dial, with an eight day movement and brocot suspension, striking the hour and half hour with outside countwheel on a bell. Movement and pendulum numbered 4363.

A late 19th century, French, marble, gilt and patinated bronze globe clock garniture. The patinated globe studded with small gilt stars and roman numerals, supported by three cherubs standing on a turned fluted marble column, hung with floral swags, with shaped base and toupie feet. The eight day Vincenti movement with platform escapement, striking the hour & half hour on a bell, numbered 524. The two side pieces of the same design.

A Napoleon III, French, gilt bronze and porcelain mantel clock. The urn surmount with floral and hung with chains, above a circular porcelain dial, with acanthus scroll sides, the inverted breakfront base with scroll inset panels on toupie feet. The front and sides inset puce painted porcelain panels in a ‘Wateauesque‘ style. The Vincenti eight day movement with brocot suspension striking the hour & half hour on a bell, numbered 1830. Original two tone matt & burnished gilding.
The porcelain panels signed to reverse ‘Morel Carpentier 1831’

The shaped case surmounted by a seated cherub, above waisted sides finely inlaid with scrolling cut brass and centred by a mask mount, the front with glazed panel showing the inlaid interior and pendulum. The eight day Vincent & Cie movement with Brocot suspension and striking the hour & half hour on a bell with outside countwheel. Movement and pendulum numbered 1142.

A pair of late 19th century, french, porcelain and gilt bronze mounted cassolettes. Each with a pinatum finial above blue porcelain dome inverting to reveal a gilt candle sconce, supported by triform legs with rams head masks and hoof feet, hung with chains and standing on a stepped circular base with bead decoration. The porcelain body painted with panels of flowers and pink ribbons.  Original gilt.

The red tortoiseshell and cut brass inlaid case surmounted by a seated gilded putti, above a glazed door opening to gilt dial with enamel roman numeral tablets, the inside of the rear door finely inlaid. The eight day Samuel Marti movement, numbered 642, with Brocot suspension, rack striking the hour & half hour on a gong. The whole with gilt bronze mounts, regilded.

The 13th Century Archer standing arming his bow, a fletcher of arrows to his back, standing on a naturalistic circular base with title plaque to front.

French Directoire Gilt Bronze & Marble Mantel Clock

An early 19th century, French, gilt bronze and marble mantel clock. The carrera marble body containing a circular enamel dial with roman numerals, a figure of Fidelity stands to one side with cupid floating on clouds to the other, his bow and arrows at his feet, between them sits a spaniel. The dial hung with a swag of roses, above a platform base with entwined leafy panels and toupie feet.  Retaining the original mercurial gilding. The eight day movement with silk suspension striking the hour and half hour, via an outside count wheel, on a bell.
