A late 19th century green tortoiseshell and cut brass inlaid clock in the Louis XV style. Of small waisted form, the case finely inlaid to three sides and with original gilt bronze mounts. The eight day Vincenti & Cie movement rack striking the hour and half hour on a bell with Brocot suspension. The gilt dial with enamel cartouche roman numerals. Movement numbered 7897.

A 19th century, Continental, walnut, ebonised and marquetry inlaid work table. The rectangular top with ebonised serpentine moulded edge centred by a marquetry panel depicting a rural scene, opening to reveal a drawer fitted with green stained birds eye maple lidded compartments, above a single drawer, and supported by four turned legs united by an ‘H’ stretcher. Superb original condition throughout.

The top with wide satinwood cross banding and ebony & boxwood line inlay opening to reveal a baize lined interior, above a frieze with narrow satinwood bandings, supported by four turned legs with ebonised details and ending in brass caps and castors. The rear two with gate leg action to support the folder top.

Antique French Régence Boulle & Ormolu Bracket Clock

A French Régence style ormolu mounted cut brass inlaid tortoiseshell bracket clock signed after Martinot, from the late 19th century. The waisted pediment with urn finial above glazed side panels, the finely inlaid case with crisp cast gilt mounts. The eight day twin barrel movement striking the hour & half hour on a bell, with anchor escapement, blued steel hands & starburst pendulum. The ormolu dial with enamel Roman numeral cartouches, signed to enamel plaque below ‘Martinot/Paris’.

The interior with concealed effigy of Napoleon. The base with hairy paw feet and rectangular sienna marble plinth. Crack to inkpot, one knib holder missing.

The kneeling figure of a winged cherub each holding a single sconce, retaining drip pans & flame snuffers, supported by a beaded circular plinth base with floral painted porcelain panels, the scroll feet hung with gilt chains. The whole supported by the original carved giltwood circular bases. Superb matt & burnished gilding.

A Napoleon III gilt & patinated bronze twin handled vase of large proportions. The oval gilt lined vase with beaded rim above a continuous frieze of frolicking putti, flanked by twin acanthus cast handles, and standing on a flared socle with shaped plinth base. Regilded. Liner with repair to rim.

A late 19th century mahogany & gilt bronze mounted table vitrine. The rising circular top with bevelled glazed centre opening to the original red velvet lined interior with four curved glazed sides, the four supports mounted with musical instruments above a platform stretcher and hipped cabriole legs with acanthus sabots.
