Attributed To Francois Linke French Mahogany & Ormolu Table Vitrine

Attributed to François Linke (1855-1946)

A late 19th century mahogany & gilt bronze mounted table vitrine. The rising circular top with bevelled glazed centre opening to the original red velvet lined interior with four curved glazed sides, the four supports mounted with musical instruments above a platform stretcher and hipped cabriole legs with acanthus sabots.

Although not signed this piece exhibits all the attributes associated with Linke’s work, the mounts being found on numerous signed pieces.
