Antique Napoleon III Ormolu & Sevres Porcelain Ewers

A fine pair of Napoleon III ormolu mounted Sevres style porcelain ewers. The turquoise pear shaped bodies painted to the front and reverse with courting couples in gilded cartouches, mounted with finely cast and chased gilt bronze in the form of ewers, with winged dragon handles and circular plinth bases. Retaining the original gilding, and in excellent condition.

Antique Fine Pair of Chinese Porcelain Ormolu Mounted Table Lamps

A fine pair of late 19th century Cantonese porcelain and ormolu mounted vases, now converted to table lamps. Each finely enamelled with alternative panels of interior court scenes and exotic birds/butterflies. Formerly oil lamps, now sympathetically converted to electricity with their original mounts regilded. Professionally rewired and PAT tested.

Fine Pair of Ormolu & Onyx Albani Vases by Georges Servant

Georges Emile Henri Servant (FRENCH, 1828-1890)
A pair of mid 19th century, continental, gilt bronze Albani vases after the antique. Each with bead moulded rim above a leafy edge with eight busts surrounding the waisted frieze, flanked by a pair of reeded twisted handles, standing on a flared fluted socle with onyx stepped plinth and gilt paw feet. Original gilding. Stamped to each plinth ‘GS’ either side of a bee & star. The original antique marble vase was at the Villa Albani.

A late 19th century, french, carrera marble and gilt bronze mounted mantel clock. The patinated bronze figure of Cupid arming, his quivers at his feet, standing above a circular enamelled dial painted with arabic numerals and floral swags, inset a fluted case hung with floral swags and standing on a marble plinth with toupie feet. The eight day movement with brocot suspension, striking the hour and half hour on a bell. Pendulum and movement numbered 1911.

Antique French pair of Charles X Ormolu Candlesticks

A fine pair of Charles X French ormolu candlesticks. The original drip pans sitting in a sconce cast with anthemion interspersed with cymbals, French horn, & flutes, above a tapering column ending in stiff leaves. The circular base decorated with musical trophies and pairs of doves over crossed arrows and ribbons. Retaining the original gilding.

Antique French Mahogany & Ormolu Torchere

A fine late 19th century, French, mahogany and ormolu mounted torchère of Neoclassical inspiration. The circular Brèche Sanguine marble top above three supports headed by rams masks, the frieze decorated with garrya swags, with a circular under-tier and standing on a triform plinth base weighted with lead.

Antique French Ormolu & Shagreen Encrier Inkwell

A charming early 19th century French ormolu encrier. The figure of Chronus, his arm resting on an hourglass & holding a scythe, is seated in the stern of a gilded boat propelled by Eros, standing on the prow. The shagreen base, depicting the sea, lifting off to reveal a bronze interior with sand sifter, pair of glass inkwells (replaced) and a pen tray. Retaining the original gilding and bronze patination.
