An early 19th century, French Empire period, flame mahogany & ormolu mounted dressing table. The arched rectangular mirror with original plate, flanked by pillar supports with ormolu capitals and adjustable twin candle arms. The base with a rectangular top above single frieze drawer, standing on tapering column supports with turned feet and concealed castors. The finely cast mounts regilded. Some discolouration to lower left of mirror plate.

A pair of late 19th century, French, bronze lions after Canova. The well cast and chased lions, one sleeping, the other vigilant, lying on stepped Egyptian green onyx bases. Cast after the Lions lying at the base of Pope Clement XIII tomb created by Canova.

Antique French Boulle Mantel Clock

A late 19th century, French, cut brass inlaid red tortoiseshell mantel clock in the Louis XIV style, of small size. The tortoiseshell and cut brass inlaid case surmounted by a fruit filled vase, the gilt dial with enamel Roman numeral tablets, with the eight day movement, numbered 3095, rack striking the hour & half hour on a gong. The whole dressed with re-gilded bronze mounts.

An unusual late 19th century, Victorian, satinwood and marquetry inlaid duet seat. The reupholstered seat top above a central Canterbury section for music/magazines, flanked by floral inlaid panels. The ends each contains three mahogany lined drawers retaining their original brass pulls. The whole supported by short square section cabriole legs.

A pair of Victorian ormolu and glass lustre candlesticks in the Regency taste. The single candle sconce above a collar hung with icicle drop lustres, the stem cast with ropetwist & anthemion decorations. The barrel shaped base banded with grapevines, standing on a circular plinth base.

James Waring Liverpool Mahogany Bracket Clock

James Waring Liverpool

An early 19th century, mahogany bracket clock. The eight day double fusee movement with anchor escapement, rack striking the hour on a bell, with strike silent lever above the roman numeral 12. The eight inch dial repainted.

The mahogany case with curl veneers and arched, single padtop, with brass carrying handle, above a circular glazed convex brass bezel with fish scale fret panels attached to the front door. The sides with similar panels, and standing on a moulded plinth with brass bracket feet.

Antique Pair of French Louis XV Style Ormolu Candelabra

A fine pair of French, Louis XV style, ormolu four branch candelabra of rococo form. The four scrolling candle branches issuing from a central stepped square base in the form of writhen acanthus leaves & ‘C’ scrolls, with berried floral stems to the centre and scallop shell to the the bases. Retaining the original mercury matt & burnished gilding.

A pair of 19th century French ‘Grand Tour’ bronze busts of Bacchus & Apollo, standing on turned Belgium black marble socles. Finely cast & chased with a brown patination.

These busts can be attributed to George Servant based on their similarity to other pairs of this design stamped ‘GS’.

A mid 19th century Derbyshire Ashford black limestone paperweight inlaid with 36 various geometric specimen marbles including malachite, Derbyshire coral and Dukes red. Of rectangular form, the two long sides with thumb indentations. Excellent condition, very small nicks to bottom edge as to be expected.

A Belle Epoque rosewood and ormolu mounted side table in the Louis XV style by Francois Linke. Of rectangular serpentine form, the quarter veneered top with rosewood banding, lifting to reveal a relined velvet interior, the base supported by four slender tapering cabriole legs ending in gilt sabots. Original gilding to mounts. Lock stamped ‘Ct Linke Serrurerie Paris’.
