An attractive French Louis style ormolu firescreen in the rococo style, from the first quarter of the 20th century. The original mesh mounted with central acanthus medallion, inset a rococo scrolling acanthus cast frame, with scrolling feet. Re-gilded.

Antique Pair of Ormolu Marble Cassolettes

A pair of late 19th century, French, marble & ormolu mounted cassolettes in the Louis XVI style. The domed lid with pinatum finial reversing to reveal a single sconce, the ovoid body with triform supports headed with rams heads, the sides hung with floral swags, standing on a turned marble socle with beaded border. Retaining the original gilding.

Antique Maison Majorelle Kingwood & Ormolu Pedestal

Maison Majorelle (Louis) (1859-1926)
A fine quality kingwood, rosewood and ormolu mounted pedestal in the Louis XV revival style. The original breche d’alep marble top, with a pedestal base fronted by a ‘Vernis Martin’ cartouche, the sides with parquetry cartouches, above elongated cabriole legs united by a platform base with a bevelled mirror inset to the back. The whole dressed in rococo ormolu mounts, each marked ‘LM’ from the master moulds.

A fine rosewood & ormolu mounted table vitrine. The bevelled glazed top with ormolu trim, opening to reveal the original velvet lined interior. The shaped sides each with inset glazed panels, the four slender cabriole legs mounted with acanthus cast knees and sabots. Retaining the original gilding to the finely cast and chased mounts. Lockplate with original key, lock stamped ‘CT Linke Serrurerie Paris ’.

Antique Ormolu Mounted Table by Zwiener Jansen

A late 19th century, French, Transitional tulipwood side table of the finest quality, after a model by Topino. Of oval form, the marquetry inlaid top with pierced gilt metal gallery, above a single oak lined drawer, each frieze inlaid with garlands. The four elongated cabriole legs, headed by finely chased and gilded bearded satyrs, above a narrow leafy inlaid panel and ending in gilt sabots. The lower tier and top inlaid with scrolling carnation flowers. The mask mounts with incised ‘ZJ’ from the master moulds.
