Maison Majorelle (Louis) (1859-1926)
A fine quality kingwood, rosewood and ormolu mounted pedestal in the Louis XV revival style. The original breche d’alep marble top, with a pedestal base fronted by a ‘Vernis Martin’ cartouche, the sides with parquetry cartouches, above elongated cabriole legs united by a platform base with a bevelled mirror inset to the back. The whole dressed in rococo ormolu mounts, each marked ‘LM’ from the master moulds.
