Description
A Belle Epoque, French, mahogany and marble topped table de milieu or centre table, enriched with gilt bronze mounts. The rectangular Breccia marble top with outset corners inset a gilt frame, above parquetry veneered friezes, the two long sides with fine gilt bronze mounts depicting a mask of Apollo flanked by cornucopia, goats and scrolling foliage after a design used by Adam Weisweiler by François Rémond, supported by four turned fluted legs ending in gilt sabots. Mounts regilded.
