
A mid 19th century continental patinated bronze Albani vase after the antique. The bead moulded rim above a leafy edge with eight busts surrounding the waisted frieze, flanked by a pair of reeded twisted handles, standing on a flared fluted socle. Dark brown patination.
The antique marble vase was at the Villa Albani. Barbedienne called this ‘Cratère vase consacré a bacchus’ in their catalogue of 1886.
