Holland & Sons (1843-1942)
A fine quality figured walnut & ormolu mounted writing table firmly attributed to Holland & Sons. The rectangular quarter veneered top with serpentine sides, inlaid with a tulipwood cross banding and scroll marquetry panels, above a single short frieze drawer, lined in mahogany, standing on four finely drawn cabriole legs ending in sabots and original brass castors. Mounts stamped ‘IR’ to the reverse.
