Antique pair of Napoleon III Bronze Putti Musicians after Clodion

After Claude Michael Clodion (1738 Nancy – 1814 Paris)

A pair of French, Napoleon III period, patinated bronze putti musicians after Clodion. Standing on circular naturalistic bases, each in animated pose, one holding a tambourine the other playing a triangle, supported by shaped gilt bronze plinths. Original patination with gilded instruments.
