Antique Grand Tour Carved Alabaster Canova Lions

A pair of mid 19th century Continental ‘Grand Tour’ carved alabaster Lions after the celebrated models sculpted by Antonio Canova for the tomb of Pope Clement XIII in 1792. Both in recumbent pose, now supported by later marble plinths. Minor nicks as to be expected.
