Blaise Millet active 1853-1918
A fine, Belle Epoque, gilt bronze and carrera marble encrier in the Louis XVI style. The seated figure of a putti with arms outstretched holding aloft a candle sconce in each hand, flanked by a pair of inkwells and a central ormolu dish tray. The rectangular base with concave corners, mounted with inset guilloche friezes, standing on beaded toupie feet. The mounts marked ‘MB’ from the master moulds.
