A late 19th century, French, mahogany & purpleheart centre table in the Louis XVI style after the model by Riesener, mounted with chased gilt bronze. The rectangular top with fine lattice parquetry and pierced gallery, above a single frieze drawer with finely cast foliate scroll, the four floral mounted canted corners on tapering square legs edged with rope twist mouldings and ending in gilt sabots. The mounts retaining their original gilding.
