A George IV rosewood card table, made by John Lawson for Gillows. The rectangular top with rounded corners, opening to reveal a relined baize interior supported by twin rear gate legs. The frieze with cockbead panel decoration and turned split beaded mouldings, supported by a typical Gillows turned and reeded leg. Signed to the underside ‘J Lawson’.
