Napoleon III Giltwood Console Table

A mid Victorian giltwood and gesso semi elliptical console table. The original rouge marble top with moulded edge, above a guilloche decorated frieze, standing on four tapering fluted legs with bead moulded wavy stretcher and toupie feet. Top with old repair. Original gilt.

Antique 19th Century French Celadon Ground Pate-sur-Pate Lamp

A late 19th century, French, pâte-sur-pâte decorated celadon porcelain & ormolu mounted lamp. The porcelain body decorated with bouquets of flowers to both front and back. Formerly an oil lamp, sympathetically converted to electricity. Rewired & PAT tested. Mounts regilded.

Antique Ormolu Encrier by Hazart in Louis XV Style

Eugene Hazart (1838-1891, Paris).

A late 19th century, French, ormolu desk encrier by Hazart, in the Louis XV style. The finely cast and chased shaped frame inset with a lacquer panel, supporting three lidded urns, containing a sand sifter & two porcelain inkwells, with a central bell. Signed to the base ‘Eug Hazart Paris’. Retaining the original gilding.

Louis Riché Bronze German Shepherd Dog

F Claessens Paris Foundry

An early 20th century sand cast bronze animalier of a German Shepherd dog by Louis Riché, of large size. The finely detailed figure lying down on a naturalistic base with rich golden patina. Cast by the F Claessens foundry with the ‘Medaille D’or’ seal to the base showing it was cast after Riche won the Gold Medal at the salon for this model.

This model was also cast as a pair of Dogs ‘Chien Policiers’, the second dog sitting in front of this prone dog.

A late 19th century French mahogany and ormolu mounted vitrine of Louis XVI inspiration. The marble top above a concave moulded frieze with reeded edge, the bevelled glazed door below opening to a relined interior with original glass shelves, the sides glazed, standing on turned fluted elongated legs ending in ormolu sabots. Retaining the original gilding and patination, along with two original keys.

Antique French Bronze Ulysses Bending His Bow

A late 19th century, French, patinated bronze figure of ‘Ulysses bending his Bow’ after Jacques Bousseau ( 1681-1740). The mythological figure of Ulysses naturalistically modelled, resting on a tree stump, straining to bend his bow. Retaining the original dark green/black patination.

Antique French Empire Gilt Bronze & Patinated Bronze Table Mirror

An early 19th century, French Empire, gilt bronze and patinated bronze table mirror. The mercury silvered plate inset a circular gilt frame cast with water leaf border, supported by a winged cherub standing on a reeded column with stepped base and square plinth. Retaining the original dark patination and mercury gilding. The mounts cast with ‘sch’ to the inside from the master mould.
